One of our recent projects saw the NZ Wrap & Nets team working alongside APEX Scaffolding on a full re-roof project on Ocean Beach Road. With the property sitting right on the beachfront, the wrap system needed to be designed to handle stronger coastal winds and unpredictable weather conditions.
To strengthen the structure, we wrapped the roof in two separate sections with a gutter system installed through the middle. This setup helps manage water run-off while also adding extra durability and stability to the overall enclosure — an important factor on exposed coastal sites like this one.
One of the standout features of this project was the use of clear Safe Seal wrap along the front beachside wall of the home. Because the homeowners were still living in the property during renovations, we wanted to maintain as much natural light and visibility as possible. The clear wrap allowed them to continue enjoying sunlight and their ocean view, while still keeping the home protected from the elements.
At NZ Wrap & Nets, we exclusively use Safe Seal Shrink Wrap because of its proven performance in harsh New Zealand conditions. Safe Seal is designed specifically for the construction industry and delivers superior strength, UV resistance, and durability compared to standard wrap products. On coastal projects especially, having a wrap system that can handle wind exposure and long-term weather protection makes all the difference.
Projects like this show how shrink wrap can do more than just protect a site — it can help create a safer, more comfortable environment for both builders and homeowners while work is underway.
