Full Containment Wrap at Te Mihi Power Station

NZ Wrap & Nets recently completed this specialised containment wrap for Acrow Industrial Taupō at Te Mihi Power Station, creating a fully enclosed and controlled environment for critical pipework operations.

This project required a custom containment solution to allow large sections of pipe to be fibreglassed together under completely dry conditions. Because moisture can compromise the integrity of the fibreglassing process, maintaining a controlled environment throughout the project was essential.

Using Safe Seal Shrink Wrap, we installed a full containment structure complete with full perimeter skirts, a loading bay access door at one end, and a large 7m x 4m hanging sheet door at the front. The front sheet was designed to operate on a pulley system, allowing easy access for equipment and materials while maintaining the enclosure's integrity when closed.

Projects like this highlight the versatility of shrink wrap beyond traditional construction applications. By creating a weather-tight and controlled workspace, teams can carry out specialised industrial processes with confidence, regardless of external conditions.

At NZ Wrap & Nets, we work closely with contractors and site teams to design wrap systems that meet the unique requirements of each project. Whether it's containment, weather protection, or temporary industrial structures, our focus is always on delivering practical, reliable solutions built for New Zealand conditions.
