NZ Wrap & Nets completed a modular wrapping project in Auckland, preparing a series of classroom units for transportation and installation at their final destination.
Using Safe Seal Shrink Wrap, each module was wrapped to help protect the units from the elements while being transported. With modular buildings manufactured or prepared off-site before being delivered and assembled, protecting them during transit is an important part of ensuring they arrive ready for installation.
Unlike traditional on-site construction, modular projects require careful coordination between preparation, transportation and final assembly. The units need to be protected while being moved, stored and handled, helping reduce exposure to weather and the conditions encountered during delivery.
For this project, the shrink wrap provided a protective outer layer around each classroom module before transportation. Once delivered, the units could be positioned and fitted together on site as part of the wider building process.
